Sue began her Forest Service career as a forestry technician and field forester where she worked as member and supervisor of resource crews charged with designing and laying out timber projects.

Sue gained experience in project planning and later became a ranger district NEPA coordinator. She has led diverse teams through many planning processes, which include preparing environmental analysis documents (CEs, EAs, EISs) and had extensive writing and editing experience as well as technical writing. A diverse range of projects include: timber, recreation, Wild and Scenic River (eligibility studies, environmental impact statements, and management plans), roads analyses, non-native invasive plant management plans, fire/ecosystem restoration, grazing, internet data searches, area transportation management plans, watershed assessments, and adaptive management. Sue has done extensive work in appeals and litigation and has been a 1900-1 instructor since 2000. Additionally, Sue has conducted environmental analysis for the Department of Defense and Agricultural Research Service.

With over 20 years of Forest Service Experience, Sue has worked with TEAMS since 2004.
